Durante el Twalking no se trata sólo de caminar. Se trata de construir una comunidad y conectarse con otros grupos que ayudan a la naturaleza y la salud.
Con la ayuda de voluntarios, Friends of Enfield Chase ayudó al Ayuntamiento de Enfield a plantar hasta 100.000 árboles en las afueras de Enfield. También se reúnen periódicamente para realizar conservación práctica en el sitio, y esto puede incluir reparar estacas y guardas rotas, o inspeccionar la salud de los árboles y la vegetación circundante. Twalking is not just about walking. It is about building up a community and connecting with other groups who are helping nature and people’s health.
With the help of volunteers, Friends of Enfield Chase helped Enfield Council to plant up to 100,000 trees on the outskirts of Enfield. They also meet regularly to do practical conservation in the site, and this can include repairing broken stakes and guards, or surveying the health of the trees and surrounding vegetation.
